| The Indian study is the largest piece of employee research conducted, covering 230 companies and surveying 44,000 employees. The participating companies represented all segments of industry – FMCG, Consumer Durables, Retail Banking, Hospitality, Healthcare and IT. |

| The Best Employers Study is the most rigorous and comprehensive research of its kind conducted in 5 stages spanning over 9 months. The stages of the study are: |
|
- The CEO Questionnaire: a detailed inventory eliciting the Managing Director’s people philosophy.
- The People Practices Inventory: a compilation of the company’s HR policies and practices, and people initiatives.
- The Employees' Opinion Survey: a random survey of employees conducted anonymously.
- Site Visit by Hewitt team, which involved an in-depth interview with the MD, focused group discussions with randomly selected employees, and a detailed discussion with the HR team.
- Final assessment by a distinguished panel of industry experts: the applications are given to the panel, comprising eminent CEOs and academicians, blind (without anything that can identify the companies).

| This is the third consecutive study in which Eureka Forbes has made it to the list of Best Employers in India. Over the years illustrious Indian and multinational companies such as Proctor & Gamble, American Express, Johnson & Johnson, Phillips, Microsoft, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, HSBC, Glaxo SmithKline and many such companies have participated in this study. We have improved our ranking from 18th to 16th in earlier studies and jumped up 12 places to 4th rank in the current study. |
